Privacy policy

This site works without an account, without a newsletter and without tracking. What data still comes up when you visit is explained here.

Controller

Responsible for data processing on this website is the operator named in the imprint. For questions about data protection, write to the email address given there.

Hosting and server logfiles

This website is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM Neue Medien Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany. When you open a page, the server processes technical data: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, browser type and referrer URL. These logfiles serve the secure and stable operation of the website (legal basis: Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) and are deleted by the host according to its own retention periods. A data processing agreement is in place with the host.

No cookies, no tracking

Sossusvlei.com sets no cookies and embeds no analytics or advertising services. Fonts, images and scripts are served from our own server, so opening a page creates no connection to third-party servers. The choice between German and English is not remembered either, it is only a link.

Affiliate links to partners

Links marked „Advertisement“ lead to external booking portals and are placed through the AWIN advertising network (AWIN AG, Eichhornstraße 3, 10785 Berlin, Germany). As long as you stay on this website, AWIN receives no data about you. Only when you click such a link do you leave Sossusvlei.com; AWIN and the respective partner then process data (through cookies, for example) in order to attribute bookings to the advertising platform. The privacy policies of AWIN and of the respective partner apply from that point.

Images of the places to stay

The photographs of the properties come from the data of our partner trivago. We download them while generating the pages and serve them from our own server, so browsing the list creates no connection to trivago.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to information about the data stored about you, and to correction, deletion, restriction of processing and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may also complain to a data protection supervisory authority, either the one where you live or the one at the operator's seat.
